They would have redeemed themselves under Thrall and returned to shamanism, like Drek’thar. If a shaman is not Mag’har or Frostwolf, and were alive for the Horde’s creation, First War, or Second War, chances are they would have been a warlock at some point in their life. Shaman : Orcs were a shamanistic society, though fell to demon corruption. Classes are something I tend to avoid, but acknowledging how magic is viewed is important. If RPing a physical fighter, just remember that any character would have picked up a variety of skills in their life. They can become warriors and shamans, and would be respected as much as a male peer. While some women have the added responsibility of carrying and caring for children, female orcs are equal to male orcs. They might not have many memories of the Old Horde or Draenor.Ģ0-21 : Born in an internment camp, most likely, never having seen the Old Horde or Draenor. They likely grew up in internment camps, and would have influence of that in their early life. They were put into internment camps in their adolescence, or possibly grew up with Warsong guerilla fighters led by Grom.Ģ2-37 : These orcs spent the first several years among their kind, though would still be young when the orcs were defeated. Depending on their clan, they might have fought in the First and Second Wars.Ĥ2-54 years old : The orc would be a child for part of the opening events of the Horde, though would reach adulthood and likely join the wars before they ended.ģ8-41 years old : This orc was too young to participate directly in the wars, though were still raised on Draenor or Azeroth among their kin. Many of these are rough estimates and generalizations, and do not apply to Frostwolf or Mag’har orcs they would be far away from the wars and little of this would have affect on them.ĥ5+ years old : The orc would have likely participated in the creation of the Horde: the blood of Mannoroth, the subjugation of the ogres, and the draenei genocide. Keep in mind that orcs become proper adults at age 20, and orcs who were alive for the consumption of Mannoroth’s blood seem to retain their strength into old age, as well as live longer.
Keep in mind that much of this is my opinion, though if I make a factual mistake feel free to correct me.Īge is one of the most important things to decide with an orc character, moreso than most races.
Some have trouble creating new characters, so I hope to provide a bit of help to anyone creating an orc (or possibly giving depth to an existing one!) This is not intended to be a guide, more of a few pointers to anyone stuck or looking for some ideas.
